The 2010 Euro Rally will be held at The Friars, Aylesford, set in the heart of Kent. Located in Aylesford, just outside of Maidstone, The Friars is an ancient religious house of the Order of Carmelites dating back to the 13th Century. |

On-site, in addition to a guesthouse, The Friars offers a tearoom which is located in a restored seventeenth century barn. There is also a shop selling religious articles, souvenirs and gifts, and the book department has been expanded to make it one of the most comprehensive Christian bookshops in Kent.There is also a pottery on site which was founded by David Leach in 1954 and the traditional of producing hand-made Japanese glazed stoneware is continuing at the Friars, though no longer by members of the community. Visitors are welcome to watch experienced potters at work or buy their wares in the showroom. There is also a skilled upholsterer, John Turner, who welcomes visitors to his workshop.  |
