IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR UK RALLY ATTENDEES
As not many people have booked to attend the rally this year so far, we would be grateful if you will pre-book your place if at all possible, this will help ensure there are enough meals booked and help the organisers organise! There's still plenty of time to get your payment in. Breakfasts and the buffet evening meal will only be provided to members who have pre-booked. However, anyone who "turns up on the day" should be able to get a meal at the pub and there will be a small administrative charge of £5 for day-trippers. Obviously not everyone can pre-book and we do understand if you're not sure whether you can be there or what day you will be arriving, but if you do know, we would be very grateful if you would take the time to send a cheque for £35 made payable to "CBX Riders Club" with your name to Lynne Woodcock, 8 Piethorne Close, Newhey, Rochdale OL16 3RH (don't worry if you have lost the rally form!). Any problems, e-mail Lynne at CBX6LYNNE@AOL.COM PLEASE NOTE - ANYONE WHO BOOKS AND PAYS BUT CANNOT MAKE IT WILL BE GIVEN A FULL REFUND! Thanks very much everyone. We look forward to seeing as many CBXers there as we can cram onto the site! (Its a big one....!!!) So get booking! Regards THE RALLY COMMITTEE |

RALLY UPDATE
Hi everyone, as the 2006 Annual Rally is fast approaching, here are the details: The Cotton Arms, Cholmondeley Rd, Wrenbury, Nantwich, Cheshire, CW5 8HG Tel: 01270 780377 Joe and Julie 28th – 30th July 2006 The campsite is on the banks of the Llangollen Canal, which is a beautiful setting with towpath for long walks and a family of ducks eager to follow you. Fishing is available – contact Joe at the Cotton Arms for details. For more information on the Cotton Arms, go to: www.caravancampingsites.co.uk/cheshire/cottonarms.htm Directions: South from Nantwich on the A530, in 5 miles turn right signposted Aston. Follow signs for Wrenbury. Site on right through village. Or from A49 follow signs to Cholmondeley Castle / Gardens. At the Cholmondeley Arms crossroads, turn east towards Wrenbury. Continue for approximately 4 miles and cross over lifting bridge. Turn left just after Cotton Arms Public House. CBX signposts will be erected of course. As dinner on Saturday night is included in the price of the rally, any other meals can be bought either in the pub on site, or at a restaurant across the road. Alternatively the usual trips into town are always a favourite. There is a food shop a couple of minutes walk down the road. Following set-up by the rally committee (and any other willing helpers) on Thursday afternoon, the weekend will proceed as follows: Nothing planned for Friday day, but on Friday night we have a night of brain-ache waiting for you with the bike-oriented Pub Quiz we have devised to be held in the function room, this is planned for whenever there are enough people to join in, probably around 9.00 p.m. Following breakfast on Saturday morning, the ride-out will commence at 11.00 a.m. After returning mid-afternoon, there will be concours judging, and then the AGM at 5.00 p.m. As this is the first year with the new format (that of fitting everything into Saturday), the times will have to be a little flexible, I’m sure you understand. However, this means that hopefully we should get a better attendance at the AGM than we have had in the past on Sunday morning (when the long-distance travellers have already had to hit the road!). It is very important that you attend the AGM so that you can be updated with all the club’s business from Mel and his team and also your views can be heard on any aspect of the running of the club and rally. There is also going to be an AUTO JUMBLE all weekend at the rally, so bring all your priceless artefacts and bike junk you wish to get rid of – somebody will buy it - but remember, if you buy it, you’ve got to carry it home! Saturday evening – well what can I say! I’m sure you’re all pretty familiar with that format – prize-giving, drinking, raffle, drinking, noisy rock group and lots of bike chat, oh, and some drinking! Nothing different there then! Enjoy…… Looking forward to seeing you all in a few weeks. Please feel free to e-mail me at CBX6LYNNE@aol.com with any thoughts / comments / suggestions. Lynne, Alan and Janet THE RALLY COMMITTEE |
