Honda CBX1000z petrol tank. Normally metallic silver or red this one has been sprayed black no visable dents or dings, just a few scratches, these tanks are hard to find, it could easily be rubbed down given a coat of primer and sprayed an original finish, I used to own one of those fantastic motorcycles, I have kept this spare tank in my loft since I reluctantly sold my bike about 10 years ago. FOR SALE CBX1000Z
The club have been asked to manage the sale of this machine click here for picture gallary by the estate of a recently deceased member of the club. The 1000Z is a 1978 model which was originally sold on 9/9/78 but not registered for the road until 1/5/80. The registration number was allocated when first bought as the late member was a motor trader. Details:- Silver CBX1000Z reg number CBX1V with only 3908 genuine miles on the clock from new. Both the toolkit and handbook are as new as is the service book. The bike is fitted with as new Rickman / Hondastyle crashbars and luggage rack. The late owner kept a meticulous record which comes with the bike of every mile ridden and every drop of petrol and oil used having been only been ridden for short to medium journeys around the Manchester area and never thrashed. The machine has never been ridden in the wet and the external condition of the engine and bodywork reflect this as the bike has always been dry stored which is also borne out by the unfaded clocks. The original Dunlop Goldseal tyres are as you would expect hardly worn. The machine was last ridden in July 2005 for 78 miles. The only negative is that the original exhaust has been repaired in the usual place at the front of the silencers but has always sailed through MOT’s. £6995.00.
